Challengers introduces you to Earlex and Something Big

2011 saw the beginning of an exciting new project for Disability Challengers with the launch of our new Challengers Champions Business Club. The club is a dynamic group of twenty locally-based firms - committed to growing their business, whilst supporting a local children’s charity.
All our members are local business men and women who play an active part in the local business community, and are proactive in their approach to business development. Every month we will introduce you to two fantastic businesses actively supporting Disability Challengers. This month is the turn of Earlex and Something Big....

Earlex

Earlex Limited is a Guildford based company established in 1987 and responsible for launching the world’s first DIY steam wallpaper stripper. Today, still dedicated to UK manufacture Earlex export a wide range of power decorating tools and power cleaning products across the globe with 230 staff across 4 countries and with wallpaper stripper sales figures exceeding 6.5million.

Earlex have been great supporters of Challengers for many years, in various ways, from their support of the Guildford Lions Raft Race, to sponsoring Challengers Events to being members of the Challengers Champions Business Club.

Something Big

Something Big is an award-winning creative design, digital and marketing agency basednear Woking, Surrey. Their small but rapidly growing team is renowned for producing great work that clients love – whether they’re a small local business or a massive national brand.

Co-owner, Sally says: “We believe there’s more to running a successful business than simply having happy customers. We also like to give something back to our local community. That’s why, this time last year, we made a pact to get more involved with worthwhile causes right here on our doorstep. So that’s exactly what we’ve done. I’m very proud of the team’s hard work and commitment and hope we can continue to do the same in 2012.

In total, the Something Big team has given over 80 hours of their time and raised much-needed funds to support an array of good causes. In 2011, Something Big took part in Challengers Battle of the Businesses quiz and the Kellystore Fun-Raisers 5k/10k. They also joined up as corporate members of the Challengers Champions Business Club. Something Big have been involved in the design and print of our corporate leaflets.
