Challengers Inclusive Playgroup

Challengers Playgroup – starts Monday 19^th April 2010

Challengers Playgroup is an inclusive playgroup for both disabled and non-disabled children in a caring, safe, supportive and fun environment. Half of our spaces are reserved for disabled children and there are spaces every session for children with complex impairments.  We believe in learning through play and we never exclude a child on the grounds of the severity of his or her impairment. Most of all, Challengers is a place where all children can have fun together.

The Playgroup will provide a full range of pre-school activities including puzzles, painting/gluing, sand and water play  soft play, sensory and outdoor activities , cooking  and much, much, more and is developing these activities in line with the national Early Years Foundation Stage. We have a well equipped sensory suite, soft play and extensive secure outside play area and play structures. 

The scheme has 15 spaces available for children aged over 2 and up to 5yrs. It will open from 9.30 - 12.30 weekdays during school term time.  Parents of children aged 3 years and above will be able to use their Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE)*.  We also have up to four spaces available each day for children aged between 2 & 3 years.

Playgroup of 2.5 or 3 hours cost £4.25p per hour (less EYFE entitlement for eligible parents). We can reduce these by 50% for families on income support (families must be prepared to provide proof of receipt of Income Support). We will also reduce fees by up to 50% for siblings attending the same sessions. For full terms and conditions please contact us and we will send you a parent brochure.

This introductory 'first visit' offers the child and family a chance to look around and get a feel for what we do and how we do it. Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.
