NEWSFLASH: NEW PLAYGROUP AT CHALLENGERS GUILDFORD!

Building on the success of our playgroup at Challengers Farnham, we are planning our second playgroup at our Guildford Play Centre at Stoke Park. This will follow the model we have developed at Farnham: an exciting, supportive and fun pre-school playgroup which is fully inclusive for disabled children.

Challengers Playgroup at our Farnham Centre

Challengers Pre-school Playgroup is an inclusive playgroup for both disabled and non-disabled children in a caring, safe, supportive and fun environment. Half of our spaces are reserved for disabled children and there are spaces every session for children with complex impairments. We believe in learning through play and we never exclude a child on the grounds of the severity of his or her impairment. Most of all, Challengers is a place where all children can have fun together.
Our Playgroup runs every morning from 9.30 to 12.30 for 38 weeks of the year in line with Surrey school terms. We provide a full range of pre-school activities including art and creative play, sand and water play, soft play, sensory and outdoor activities, cooking and much, much, more. All these activities are developed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. We have a well equipped sensory suite; soft play and extensive secure outside play area and play structures.

The scheme has 18 spaces available for children aged over 2 and up to 5yrs. . This includes up to four spaces available each day for children aged between 2 & 3 years.

Playgroup of 3 hours cost £4.25p per hour; although eligible parents may use their EYFE funding to cover these fees.. We can reduce fees by 50% for families on income support (families must be prepared to provide proof of receipt of Income Support). We will also reduce fees by up to 50% for siblings attending the same sessions. For full terms and conditions please contact us and we will send you a parent brochure.

If you would like further information or to register please contact Sonia or Paul on 01483230571. We ask all parents/carers to visit Challengers with their children to complete registration. This introductory 'first visit' offers the child and family a chance to look around and get a feel for what we do and how we do it. Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis. If your child is disabled, we liaise with outside agencies to ensure your child gets a clear care plan when he or she starts with us.
