Born in East London in 1943 I left a large international company in 1980  to work in learning disability services within Surrey. After retiring from Surrey in 2010 I wanted to continue to “make a difference” and what better way than to support Challengers by utilising the skills and attitudes  I have attained over the years.

 

Why Challengers? They deliver amazing activities that not only are great fun but help our young people develop independence and move towards adulthood. This enables them to become consumers and citizens which is paramount in any education system. I have witnessed this motivation  throughout the staff and volunteer team.

 

Oh; nearly forgot. My guilty pleasure is seeking top of the range shoes at bargain prices!
