I became the Guildford Borough representative on the Trustee Board of Challengers in 2003. In my former life before I became a Guildford Borough and Surrey County Councillor I was a Childminder for 25 years and I was very lucky to look after several children with a disability who became very special to me and my family as they were a real pleasure to care for.

 

I also ran a holiday playscheme for 14yrs and know how important play is to every child. So it was very natural for me to be drawn towards Challengers and I have very much enjoyed being involved with this wonderful charity and the incredible staff that work for it. My secret pleasure at the end of a busy day is a glass of wine and a sudoku puzzle.
