Happily married for 30 years. Mum to 2 fab grown up children, a daughter, 26, and a son, 21, who is at the severe end of the autistic spectrum. Due to the complex nature and challenges of his autism, I know first-hand the stresses of family life, how difficult it is to fit into society and the isolation this brings.
Challengers has supported my son from the age of 5 (when it was just the Guildford site) through to the wonderful young adult schemes. Watching the growth of Challengers to where it is now is phenomenal, showing how vital this charity is for the survival of families such as mine. I feel very passionately about promoting the importance of Challengers.
I am a qualified Horse riding Instructress; help my hubby run a showing and breeding yard of top class Arab horses. I once had a “normal” job working for British Airways as a Passenger Service Agent. My guilty pleasures are red wine, chocolate buttons, good books, bargains at car boot sales (which I am addicted to), playing with my gorgeous 2 year old grandson, walking my dog, the horses, Carry On movies ... I am greedy, my list is endless!!
