As part of the scheme, Guildford Spectrum will be encouraging its customers to donate points they gain through its ‘Active’ loyalty card to Challengers, enabling children and families to benefit from the Spectrum’s leisure facilities.
The leisure complex has set a target of collecting 150,000 points throughout the year in support of the play centre. This would enable 62 young carers to come swimming every month during the year or 125 affected families to come bowling. Customers wanting to donate active points to the charity can simply visit Customer Services or email info@guildfordspectrum.co.uk with their active card number and the number of points they would like to give.
Launching the partnership Spectrum’s Marketing Manager, Rob Price, says, “We are delighted to be able to support Disability Challengers in 2011. This charity is our close neighbour in Stoke Park, and supports lots of local families, many of whom are also Spectrum customers. Like them, we believe play is an essential part of every child’s development and we very much hope that, by providing free activity tickets to those impacted, we can enable even more families to enjoy leisure time together.
So a big thank you to everyone at Guildford Spectrum and if you are an ‘Active’ card member or know anyone that is, please consider donating any spare points to Challengers and help us reach our target!
