2009 vs. Challengers - The results...

The figures are out and there are Challengers Celebrations afoot – we’ve done it again! 

Challengers have increased the number of children and young people we support by a huge 17% on the previous year. This meant in 2009 we delivered 18,751 visits at Challengers Play, Youth and Young Adult schemes, a whopping 91,058 hours of fun filled play across Surrey and Hampshire! 

Even with these numbers, there’s still a lot more to do. Last year we had 3,979 waiting list places, thousands of children and families who wanted and needed to access Challengers schemes.  

This year we will do all we can to tackle this waiting list and ensure more children and young people than ever can access fun, exciting, vital play – but we can only do this with the fantastic support we receive from the local business community, thank you!
